About Shivam

I am not just a teacher of Geography—I am a lifelong student of the Earth. As a postgraduate in Geography and a PhD scholar, my journey has been driven by curiosity about how landscapes form, how societies evolve, and how humans and nature shape each other. I chose this field not only as an academic path, but as a way to understand the world more deeply.

I want to share my knowledge because I believe education should inspire, not intimidate. Too often, students see Geography as a subject of memorization rather than exploration. My goal is to change that—by making learning meaningful, relatable, and exciting. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple concepts, connecting theory with real life, and helping students discover their own potential.

About the lesson

Geography is a dynamic and interdisciplinary subject, and my teaching reflects that breadth. I integrate physical geography (geomorphology, climatology, hydrology, biogeography), human geography (population, settlement, economic and cultural geography), and environmental geography to help students understand the close relationship between nature and society. I also introduce students to geospatial techniques such as map reading, cartography, remote sensing, and basic GIS, making concepts more visual and practical.

My methodology connects classroom theory with current affairs, case studies, field-based examples, and everyday observations, helping students see Geography as a living subject rather than a static one. Emphasis is placed on analytical thinking, diagrammatic presentation, answer-writing skills, and conceptual clarity—essential for both academic excellence and competitive exams. Lessons are interactive, flexible, and tailored to individual learning needs, ensuring students build strong foundations while developing a broader geographical perspective.
