About Briar

I am a passionate drum tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, working with students from beginner to advanced levels. During this time, I have successfully taught around 150 students and helped them build strong rhythm, coordination, and confidence on the drums. I enjoy guiding students through clear lessons that lead to steady progress. My tutoring approach is personalized and flexible.

I start by understanding each student’s level, goals, and learning style. Lessons focus first on fundamentals such as timing, grip, posture, and coordination, then gradually move toward advanced grooves, fills, and musical expression. I believe a strong foundation is the key to long-term improvement. One of my unique strengths is my ability to simplify complex rhythms.

I break down difficult patterns into easy steps and provide practical exercises that students can practice confidently. I also help students develop good practice habits so they can improve consistently outside class. I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment. Whether students are learning drums for fun or skill development, I support them with patience, clarity, and motivation throughout their learning journey.

About the lesson
