About Berk
Hello, I am a PhD in Gazi University Music Education Department. My Main Instrument is Classical Guitar and I teach Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Solfege, Harmony, Royal College, LCM and Preparation Courses for Special Ability Exams. I have been giving private lessons for over 10 years. MEB Music Teacher, Conservatory Research Assistant, Music Teacher in Private Schools and Courses, and Since 2016 I have been giving lectures in my own workshop.

In the content of my Classical Guitar Lessons; There are many topics such as basic note information, studies for the recognition of the guitar keyboard, right and left hand technical studies, studies for technical development, works, harmonic analysis and accompaniment forms of the works, system for playing popular songs, chord setups and chord order on the keyboard. In our first lesson; We are starting to work on gaining behaviors such as note information, the place of notes on the guitar, grip, sitting, 1st position playing the natural sequence. Afterwards, we proceed with monophonic and polyphonic exercises and simple works on the guitar. In other words, we aim to learn by making a theoretical and practical start and playing. My youngest student is 6 years old, my oldest student is 63 years old. (So it is not too late for anything :) Different methods (monophonic at the beginning) for my early students to produce correct sound and to adapt the muscle movements to the guitar; I apply different methods to my adult students. After making progress, we create listening lists and decide together the works we will play. Thus, our goals, strategy and map are determined before us. I get support from TABs as well as the notes, but this is a multidimensional subject. I can tell in detail in my lessons. I'm not just teaching pop guitar lessons. There are chord and string systems that you can understand the logic of pop guitar. I recommend those who want to learn the chords and play three or five tracks in the market, watch youtube videos on the subject, and not spend their time and money on private lessons. I don't give group classes. There are many reasons for this, but most importantly, it can be considered as low efficiency and loss of time for students of various levels. One lesson is 50 minutes.
