About Sarah
I have taught grades K and 1 for 12 years in North Carolina and Alabama and have extensive experience in delivering instruction to students of all abilities. I have tutored third graders to prepare them for state testing. I also offer private in person tutoring to elementary students who need intensive support in the areas of phonics and reading comprehension. I offer math tutoring at the elementary level as well. I am a teacher of an over the mountain school district that has consistently produced high performing graduates who exhibit strong foundational reading and math skills.

The instruction I provide is designed to keep the student engaged and challenged. If there are areas in which a student needs to improve upon to meet a benchmark, I will provide instruction at the appropriate level of rigor. If the student is meeting current standards but needs to practice skills in order to be successful in the upcoming grade, I have the resources and experience.
