About Ella
I’m a professional actor, singer, writer and director with experience across screen, touring theatre, musical theatre, playwriting and new writing.
I trained with the National Youth Theatre and at Guildford School of Acting, before completing a BA in Acting at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and an MA in Musical Theatre at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. I was also an Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholar and have trained and worked professionally with both the Lyric Hammersmith and National Youth Theatre.
I really love teaching. Alongside my own work as a performer and creative, I’ve taught workshops in schools, worked with A Level students, supported students preparing for drama school and sat on audition panels myself.
What I enjoy most is helping people grow in confidence, make stronger choices and find what works for them. I work with students at all stages, from complete beginners and drama school applicants to more mature students returning to acting and working actors who want support before an audition or self-tape.
I know how demanding this industry can be, so I want my teaching to feel practical, encouraging and useful. My aim is to help you build confidence in your own instincts, develop your technique and become increasingly independent in your work.

I tailor every session to you and what you need that day. We can work intensively on drama school auditions, monologues, self-tapes, acting through song, interview preparation, recalls, screen work, voice and technique, or simply use the time to explore, play and build confidence.
I work with complete beginners, drama school applicants, older and more mature students, and working actors at different stages of their careers. I’ve sat on audition panels myself, so I understand how different each school and each stage of the process can be.
My approach is practical, supportive and individual. I’ll challenge you where useful, but I want the room to feel relaxed enough for you to take risks and try things. I appreciate your time, so we’ll make the most of our sessions and focus on what will genuinely help you move forward.
