About Connor
I'm a professional actor currently starring as BILLY THOMPSON in the Channel 4 crime-drama Patience for Channel 4. I have previously worked as TOM CHITLING in the BAFTA and RTS award winning DODGER for BBC, playing the lead of CHRISTOPHER in the multi-award winning THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, as well as other projects such as CASUALTY, DOCTORS, GLENROTHAN, WHITSTABLE PEARL, and working with the prestigious BBC RADIO DRAMA REP. I’m drawn to this because I feel that aspiring actors and students can often become bogged down by an overload of overly intellectual techniques, which can trap them in their own heads and block their natural impulses. I also believe that the modern industry — particularly in film and television, which is my main area of experience — is often neglected in many training circles. My aim is to inspire, nurture creativity, and help actors find their unique voice, equipping the next generation with the tools they need to continue their training or take their first steps into the industry.

I believe in a person-centred approach to the craft of acting — one that focuses on each individual’s creativity as the pathway to powerful, truthful performances on stage and on screen. I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” method; my goal is to nurture your creativity, not strip it back. I’m passionate about exploring character through physicality, spontaneity, and impulse, while fostering strong listening skills and a vivid imagination — the fertile ground from which great performances grow. Whether we’re working on the language of Shakespeare, preparing audition monologues, self-taping, or developing camera technique, my aim is always to help you bring your most authentic and creative self to the work!
