About Rachelle
I’m Rachelle and I just love learning! I hope to pass on the same passion in each of my students and work to ensure any barriers or challenges they meet can be overcome with focus, determination and self-belief. I have worked in primary schools for 14 years as a teacher and before that, I was a teaching assistant in a high school supporting students working significantly below their expected levels. I love seeing how students can thrive with the right support and encouragement. It is important to me that students can recognise their progress and hard work, so I feel working on confidence and self-esteem comes hand in hand with the academics. My passion beyond teaching is in the arts—particularly in dance, and animals. I have many pets and love trips with my dogs down to the beach or into the woods.

Professional and friendly experienced teacher. I have worked across the primary phases with all age groups specialising in phonics, reading, writing and maths. I have also privately tutored children in their own homes, run toddler classes and been a family support worker for a children’s charity for many years. I have run youth clubs, holiday camps and residential trips. I believe in a personalised approach to learning for every learner with fun along the way!
