About April
I am a dedicated ballerina with extensive vocational training, having completed exams in both the I.S.T.D. and U.T.D. syllabuses. The U.T.D. syllabus is particularly demanding, with strict expectations on technique, strength, and performance quality, which shaped me into the disciplined dancer I am today. Alongside this, I trained in the I.S.T.D. syllabus, which added breadth and musicality to my technique. My training has taken me to advanced levels, including pointe work, adagio, allegro, and turns, all delivered with precision and artistry. Beyond exams, I have choreographed and performed my own works, such as Home Again and my full-length one-woman ballet Elizabeth’s Paradise. As a dancer, I am passionate about ballon, storytelling, and the expressive power of movement. My goal is to help students develop not only strong technique but also the artistry and confidence that make ballet so powerful.
