About Jasmine

I am a professional ballet dancer and graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School, with over five years of professional performance experience in Europe. I danced with internationally recognised companies including Semperoper Dresden and the National Ballet of Romania in Bucharest.

My performance background includes a wide range of classical repertoire, with roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, La Bayadère, and The Sleeping Beauty, among others. This experience has given me a deep understanding of classical technique, artistry, and the physical demands of ballet training.

Alongside my performance career, I have completed the Professional Dancers’ Graduate Teaching Diploma with the Royal Academy of Dance and hold Registered Teaching Status (RAD RTS). I am also a member of the Royal Academy of Dance.

My teaching combines professional stage experience with current, evidence-based pedagogy. I am passionate about helping dancers develop strong, safe technique, musicality, and confidence — whether they are preparing for RAD exams, pursuing vocational goals, or returning to ballet as an adult.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored, supportive, and grounded in strong technical foundations. I am a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teaching Status (RAD RTS) teacher, PBT certified, and a member of the Royal Academy of Dance, which means your training is aligned with recognised international standards. Lessons are fully personalised to suit each dancer’s age, level, goals, and physical needs. Whether you are working towards RAD exams, improving technique, returning to dance, or simply building strength and confidence, sessions are structured to be both effective and encouraging. I place a strong emphasis on:
- Safe and anatomically informed technique
- Strength, alignment, and injury prevention
- Clear feedback and achievable progression
- Confidence, artistry, and enjoyment of movement

Using Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) principles where appropriate, I help dancers develop strength, control, and body awareness that directly supports their classical training. Lessons are suitable for:
- RAD syllabus students
- Pre-professional and vocational-track dancers
- Adult beginners or returning dancers
- Dancers seeking technical refinement or conditioning support

My teaching style is professional, positive, and focused on long-term development — helping dancers not only improve, but understand how and why they move.

My daughter has been taking virtual private lessons (ballet, lyrical) multiple times a week with Jasmine since 2020. I’ve watched her progress so much during this time.

Her lesson plans and explanations/ corrections are always tailored specifically to my daughter and towards ensuring she is applying the best possible technique to ensure her safety, so I have never had any concerns - even when doing pointe! It’s clear she has thoroughly assessed her readiness before moving forward with any new skills.
