About Alec
I have been working as a writing tutor in some capacity since I was in high school, where I volunteered as a peer tutor. I have since worked as a TA for college-level writing courses, taught essay writing seminars, and led creative writing workshops. I have written professionally developing educational content on a variety of topics including English literature, current events, and professional development. That being said, teaching has always been my real passion. I am excited about helping students learn to express themselves and learn to communicate their ideas effectively.

I can provide assistance with writing projects for K-12 students, including college application essays. I can provide support through the entire writing process from helping you brainstorm ideas to editing drafts and everything in between. Each student will have their own goals for a project that we can set together. These might include making a successful argument, developing your own style and voice as a writer, or learning the basic conventions of academic or professional writing.
