  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

I developed a passion for music at a very young age, around 9, when I first started exploring rhythm and percussion. The drums instantly connected with me because of its massive energy and expression. Over time, that curiosity turned into a serious commitment, and eventually into a professional career in drumming and music education.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I enjoy a wide range of music, but I often find myself going back to artists who have a strong sense of groove and musicality. Bands like Linkin Park, Metallica, Greenday, for their energy, along with various live performances, keep me inspired and constantly learning.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

One of the most challenging yet rewarding areas I teach is preparing a student for live performance. It goes beyond playing correctly it involves timing, control, consistency, and confidence under pressure. Helping a student transition from practice to stage is truly transformative.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

Every instrument has its own challenges, but drums can be particularly demanding as they require coordination of all four limbs, strong timing, and a deep sense of groove. It’s both physically and mentally engaging, making mastery a long but rewarding journey.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

Consistency, patience, and strong fundamentals. I believe in building a solid foundation, as it supports long-term growth. Equally important is enjoying the process in learning music should feel rewarding and inspiring.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

I would love to meet Mike Shinoda for his Music Production & songwriting skills, Travis Barker for his precision and unique style, and A.R. Rahman for his depth and innovation. Each of them represents a different dimension of music that I deeply respect.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

I recall one of my early students who struggled with timing and confidence. Instead of focusing only on technique, I worked on improving listening and feel. Over time, the student grew significantly and eventually performed confidently in front of an audience. This experience reinforced my belief that teaching is about understanding each student, not just delivering lessons.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I focus on personalized teaching, clear communication, and practical application. My goal is to help students not only learn concepts but also use them effectively, especially in performance situations. Creating a comfortable and motivating environment is a key part of my teaching approach.
