About Hugo
Hi, I'm Hugo! I'm a professional singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist based in Sydney.
I've spent the past several years writing, recording and performing professionally, working with artists in Australia and internationally. My music has accumulated millions of streams, I've written for other artists, performed live, attended professional songwriting camps, and been fortunate to build a career doing what I love.
I teach modern guitar, songwriting and music production with a practical, creative approach. My lessons are ideal for anyone wanting to learn contemporary styles inspired by artists like Justin Bieber, Dominic Fike, Dijon, Mk.gee, Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean.
Whether you're a complete beginner or already writing your own music, my goal is to make learning enjoyable, personalized and focused on your individual goals. I want every student to leave each lesson feeling inspired, more confident and excited to keep creating.

My lessons are tailored to your goals, whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, looking to write your first song, or wanting to develop as an artist.
Rather than following a rigid syllabus, I focus on the music you actually want to play. We'll learn songs you love while building the skills to understand chords, rhythm, technique and songwriting naturally along the way.
Drawing from my experience as a professional recording artist, I can also help with music production in Logic Pro, recording, arranging, vocal performance and developing your own unique sound.
Lessons are relaxed, practical and designed to build confidence. Every student learns differently, so each lesson is personalized to your experience level and musical interests.
Whether your goal is to play around the campfire, perform live, release original music or simply enjoy playing guitar, I'll help you get there with clear guidance and real-world experience.

You don't need any expensive gear to get started, just a guitar and a willingness to learn. I'll help you develop solid technique, confidence and musical understanding while learning songs and styles you genuinely love.
Students also receive practice notes, song recommendations and exercises after each lesson to make practicing between sessions simple and effective. My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, practical and inspiring, helping you build real skills while enjoying the process of making music.
