• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  My first experience using a computer was when I was in primary school. My family had a desktop computer, and I remember being fascinated by how it worked and what it could do. I spent hours playing educational games and exploring different programs. Does anyone remember encarta?

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  The technological evolution that has marked me the most is the advent of the World Wide Web. I remember the first time I created a website and uploaded it onto the internet - the feeling that someone on the other side of the world could potentially view my work was exhilarating. Looking ahead, I believe that the continued evolution of the web and related technologies will further revolutionise the way we interact with each other and the world around us. AI certainly has progressed massively recently and I am interested to see how this shapes our next few years as a society.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  As an experienced website developer with skills in platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Drupal, my expertise lies in creating visually appealing and functional websites that meet the needs of my clients. I have a strong interest in technology and its constantly evolving nature, which motivates me to continually learn and improve my skills. In the computer world, the importance of website development lies in providing businesses and individuals with an online presence that can reach a global audience, increase visibility, and enhance overall success.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  While I certainly appreciate the contributions of visionaries such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg, my personal role models come from a more diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. I admire individuals who demonstrate perseverance, creativity, and a strong work ethic in their respective fields.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to assist the IT teacher with teaching the class. I enjoyed being able to share my knowledge of computers and technology with others and help them understand the material better. It was a valuable experience that solidified my interest in pursuing a career in the technology field (and also to share that knowledge with those around me!).

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  I would say that while IT can be challenging, it's also a rewarding field with many opportunities for growth and learning. It's important to remember that the person is in control of the computer and not the other way around. Also, don't be afraid to try new things and experiment with technology - if something goes wrong, it can almost always be fixed or undone. With the right mindset and approach, anyone can learn to work with technology and gain the skills they need to succeed in the field.

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  Besides computers, I have a few other passions that I enjoy pursuing. One of them is music - I play the saxophone and clarinet, and I also sing in a community choir. Additionally, I have a keen interest in reading books and writing my own stories.

  I believe what makes me a Superprof in IT is my extensive experience in website development, my ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, and my passion for helping others succeed. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and helping them achieve their goals, whether it's creating a website for their business or learning new IT skills to advance their career.
