I have worked as a behavioral therapist for almost 10 years. During this time, I have developed a warm, professional demeanor that clients find both comforting and supportive. This experience lends me a unique perspective as a tutor, meaning I will work hard to ensure that though the work is challenging, you or your loved one will feel supported and reassured every step of the way. I have been described as cheerful, dedicated, and passionate. I love meeting people where they are and helping them to develop the skill and knowledge potential they already possess. Hi! My name is Andi. I have worked as an after-school tutor for many years, and my areas of expertise are reading and writing. I have worked in the mental health field my entire career, which sets me apart from other tutors. I am a calming, cheerful presence ready to sit with you in the trenches and celebrate your victories! I have tutored students in reading and writing from pre-k all the way to college. I have extensive knowledge in APA and MLA formats, resume writing, and creative writing. I have experience proofreading and editing everything from advertisements for Best Buy to personal memoirs. I am passionate about helping others, bringing a steady, patient hand to lessons. I am experienced in providing assessments to determine the pacing of lessons. Those seeking reading tutoring can expect to be challenged but not pressed too hard too fast.
