About Stephen

Published English Literature and Communications graduate with a passion for storytelling and education.

I have also garnered experience in the creative industries, having written for screen and worked with some of the UK’s most exciting creatives. It is my love for literature and strong background in communication and literary theory that ensures we can, together, break down and understand even the most multi-faceted concepts, at a pace that’s right for you.

I will soon be a qualified secondary-school English teacher, where I will continue my whole-hearted dedication to inspiring a new generation of readers and writers.

About the lesson

My teaching method is interactive and personalised, focusing on understanding concepts deeply. I do this through a blend of questioning, real-world examples, and adaptive feedback to encourage deep understanding. It is vital, I believe, to maintain a supportive environment that encourages curiosity and enthusiasm.

A perfectly capable student. Keen to discuss what interests him, and happy to collaborate on these ideas. Anything that didn’t come naturally was discussed and he was clued up after a little delving deeper. Would absolutely recommend as a student.

Stephen was great with our son during his highers.

He was thorough in his explanations, understanding and worked at just the right pace for my son.

We did a block of 10 hours and were really happy with the price considering the quality of teaching.
