About Heather
While attending Indiana University, I volunteered as a tutor within the Arts & Sciences department twice a week, as well as a personal tutor outside of the college, to two families that recently moved from China and did not speak English. I worked with their kids (ages 3,7,11 & 16) to learn English, complete homework assignments, etc. It was extremely rewarding watching them grow their skills each week. I also worked as a special ed preschool teacher for two years, so teaching is in my blood and is what I love to do! When not working, I am going on runs with my dog, reading or practicing yoga.
