About Frank
I was in 5th grade when a teacher singled me out for a writing assignment and put me in a gifted program. Since then, I've published more than 10 books, fiction and non-fiction, I've been the editor of an award-winning magazine (twice!), and I wrote and illustrated The Complete Idiot's Guide to Drawing. I have a lot of experience in making education fun and easy!

English
English is a tough language to master. It's not that you're bad at it, it's that the language itself is a mess. That doesn't mean there aren't rules, tips, mnemonics and ways to make it easier. Whether you're struggling with reading, comprehension, grammar, or writing, I can help. Even better, we'll have fun doing it!

I’ve known Frank as a creative, a teacher, and a deeply thoughtful human. He has a rare ability to make learning feel safe, human, and genuinely inviting.
Frank doesn’t just teach skills. He helps people trust themselves, ask better questions, and stay curious. His presence is calm, encouraging, and quietly confidence building.
If you’re looking for a teacher who leads with patience, insight, and real care for the person on the other side of the screen, Frank is exactly that.Frank is one of those rare teachers who makes learning feel easy, enjoyable, and genuinely exciting. He has a natural way of connecting with his students—mixing patience, humor, and real enthusiasm—so everyone feels comfortable asking questions and jumping in.
What truly sets Frank apart is how much he cares. He meets students where they are, celebrates their progress (big and small!), and somehow manages to make even the tricky stuff feel totally doable. His energy is contagious, his explanations are clear, and his "classroom" always feels welcoming.
If you’re lucky enough to learn from Frank, you’re not just getting a great teacher—you’re getting a cheerleader, a mentor, and someone who truly wants you to succeed.View more recommendations
