About Daryle
I am a published author, game designer and filmmaker with a B.A. from NYU. I specialize in content for kids, whether it be games, TV shows, or books. I've tutored grade school, middle school and high school students through an organization called 826, and I've found that it's not only a great opportunity to teach one-on-one, but also a great chance to mentor students. I love to inspire curiosity and help students to form habits that will help them throughout their academic lives.

I work with the curriculum that students are following in school, and enhance their learning with personal attention, tried and true methods for engagement, and an approach that is customized for each student. An author with many titles for kids published both by Disney Hyperion and Scholastic Inc. I have experience tutoring kids of all ages, and have special experience in coaching students in writing their college entry exams. I've also designed games for kids, including many "edutainment" titles for clients like Nickelodeon, Warner Bros, Disney, and Pixar. I utilize game design techniques to make lessons more effective and engaging. A typical lesson would begin with a review of the goals set in the lesson before, and an assessment, with the student, of which skills and assignments we will focus on for the remainder of the lesson. We read together, write together, and most importantly, develop a love of learning. I lived and worked in France for many years and I've taught French students to speak English as well as English students to speak French. This is another area that I tutor in, and I work with both kids and adults.
