I have been tutoring students from other countries in English and Citizenship training for over seven years.

After retiring from a career in nursing, I was drawn to becoming a tutor and became certified as an ESOL instructor.
Before beginning a tutoring session, I do an assessment of each new student and gear my approach based on where they are and what their specific goals are.
My teaching style is interactive. I listen to students as much as I talk, encouraging them to take risks by speaking and writing, and role playing.

My travel expenses are included in the hourly in-person rate. I do have a cancellation policy: While I understand that emergencies may arise, I expect to be given 24 hour cancellation notice.
