About Vee

My name is Victoria Panton Bacon - I am a trained journalist; I worked in the newsroom at the BBC in London for 8 years, I have worked on a freelance basis since leaving the newsroom, and I am now a published author; and I run writing workshops and events, helping to develop an interest in - and love of - the written and spoken word.

About the lesson

I am a published author, of Second World War history - my books contain true stories of the War given to me by veterans who lived through it. I do have a special interest in this area, but mostly this is because I am very interested in poignant, personal stories - and these are about the reality of living through very difficult, challenging times - and I love to write !

I would love to help develop a love of reading and writing; I also run writing workshops about poetry and short story writing.

I would be very pleased to help develop reading and writing skills, and help engage reluctant or struggling readers, enabling an enjoyment of both skills; so developing knowledge of whatever subject is chosen.

I can help anyone who would like me to help them!
