About Aria

I’ve been active in writing communities for over a decade in various capacities, both proctoring and facilitating learning in workshop spaces as well as private feedback for individuals. I find that while drawing attention to what can be improved in a piece is necessary, all critique should be done within the framework of aligning the author's personal goal with the strengths and purpose of the writing as a cohesive unit. Teaching tools and skills within the scope of writing should always aim to give agency and power to the author—whether that’s to help them follow a rubric, or break creative barriers!

English

Hello! As much as I love writing, I’m fully aware it can be frustrating and intimidating for many people. I’ve found working with individuals' personalities to create pieces that reflect them and their personal goals the most important part of any creative practice! Whether you’re trying to navigate a disability, a form you’re not comfortable with, or trying to do something new with your writing, I’ve been there before and found many ways to find solace in writing instead of struggle. If you’re trying to get a good grade for a class, learn how to craft a solid essay, or have difficulty truly grasping what the tone of an academic piece typically sounds like, I can help with equipping you not just with information necessary to survive the semester but to be prepared to face the rest of your academic career!
