About Shona
I am a recent graduate who has received a 1:1 in a degree of English Linguistics and Celtic Studies with Gaelic. I am more than happy to provide lessons on English up to University level, and can also do so through the medium of Gaelic!
I currently work in primary schools as a pupil support assistant, so I have experience of working with children who have additional support needs.
I am also happy to teach English as a second language. I speak 5 languages myself so I would love to learn more! I have completed and passed a 120hr TEFL training course.
I specialised specifically in Sociolinguistics, Onomastics, and Language Policy at University so I'd be willing to tutor in any of these areas at University level!

I'm a friendly and empathetic person who loves to learn and loves to encourage others to reach their full potential.
I believe in a student-centred approach to learning, where we can work through problems at your own pace. I know how daunting it can be booking lessons with a tutor, but I'm here to make you feel at ease with the process.
I will always come to a lesson with a structure in mind, however I'm adaptable towards a student's needs and struggles within each lesson. Some days will be more productive than others, and I aim to recognise and plan for days like this.
