About Claire
I am passionate about teaching and qualified as a primary school teacher through the prestigious Teach First Leadership Development Programme. Having worked for several years in the education sector, I decided that I wanted to have a more profound impact on individual students (something that is difficult as a classroom teacher!) by providing tailored, one-to-one support to meet children's individual needs and by collaborating closely with parents/guardians.

I am available to tutor EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Maths, Writing, Reading and History, as well as 7+, 8+ and 11+ Entrance Exam preparation for independent schools. I offer a free initial consultation to meet your child, see if we are a good fit and gain an understanding of your child`s needs and priorities.
I have several years' experience working in a variety of primary schools with children of all ages and needs, including SEND and EAL children. I have achieved positive progress results with all primary age groups, and have taught Year 6 classes to achieve excellent SATs results (including during the pandemic). My tutees make excellent progress and I have a successful track record of preparing students to pass Entrance Exams for various independent schools. A typical lesson lasts one hour and is tailored to the child's specific needs and goals.
