About Katie

I have a Higher in Psychology (A), an undergraduate degree in Psychology, an Msc in Applied Psychology and I currently work as an Applied Psychologist. I have worked for 4 years as a student mentor from high school to postgraduate level across the core humanities and social science subjects. I also have experience of mentoring engineering and science students on personal development plans (e.g time management, scheduling, stress control).

About the lesson

I will design a personal development plan tailored to your ability, preferred style of learning and adjusted to any learning needs (within my skill set). I have worked with students with a range of learning difficulties, assistive technology programmes, mental health problems and developmental disorders. I take a compassionate approach to mentoring, and believe there are emotional and circumstantial factors that need to be supported in order for students to learn and develop to the best of their ability. I work from home remotely/online and am competent at using video conferencing platforms, and in supporting others to use the software and feel comfortable online.
