About Tiaan
I grew up in Centurion, a suburb of Pretoria. I have a love for all things nature and I often spend my free time outdoors hiking or running. I am very passionate about sport, I love rugby, Brazilian-jiu-jitsu and rock climbing. My favourite movies include Forrest Gump and Toy Story (Bit of a Tom Hanks fan boy). I have a National Diploma in Wood Technology from Nelson Mandela University. I also have a TEFL Diploma which included a 180 hour TEFL teacher course, a 60 hour business English course and a 60 hour online English course.

I believe having fun is a great way to learn! I utilise many different methods when teaching English, the main thing is that I want you to learn in a way that suits you. We can study English from a textbook or we can just sharpen your conversational skills by talking about any topic that you find fascinating. Most of my teaching experience is with adult students. My mother tongue is Afrikaans but I speak English at a native level and am qualified to teach others. I am also learning how to speak Dutch and Zulu.
