About Holly
I fell into teaching at a point where I had no idea where to go, and absolutely loved it. I have a thorough enthusiasm for teaching English and creating positive interactions based in education. Creating this positive image has been successful throughout my teaching experience and helps students to engage more proactively with school in general. I provide a friendly and safe environment for learning alongside expertise that will help you get to where you need to be. I have also been recognised within the trust I work for, I have been praised for my work and engagement as well as being allocated extra responsibilities to support the English department at such an early stage in my career. I currently reside near Doncaster so I am happy to take lessons within a 10km radius of here. I specialise in EDUQAS/WJEC exam board.

My name is Holly Meakin, I am 26 years old and a qualified English teacher in my fifth year of teaching at a school in Doncaster. I studied for my PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University, and I studied a Law degree at the same university prior to this. I achieved an A at GCSE English and a B at A Level. My tutoring sessions will include: A personal approach - discussing areas to target in line with your own personal goals. 1 hour sessions. Expertise provided in a friendly manner, making the session enjoyable for both whilst also being productive and achieving the results you desire. We will cover a mixture of content and exam practice with a fast turnaround for marking and feedback

Perfect! Holly has been fantastic with all communications leading up to and following her first session with my daughter. My daughter shared how nice, attentive and engaging Holly was on the day also. Possibly the two most important aspects for us parents. Highly recommended.
