About Fatima
I have successfully completed a Qualifi accredited, Level 5 TEFL Certificate (168hrs) with The TEFL Academy. I feel extremely confident in my abilities to teach English as a foreign language. I am currently working as a volunteer teacher at Simondium Creche and Aftercare Centre. I worked as a metrologist for 24 years and I have established and managed an effective working relationship with staff, customers, and suppliers. Working in a male-dominated field has molded me into a more disciplined, focused, dedicated, adaptable, resourceful, passionate, and hardworking woman. As laboratory manager, I have trained staff, guided and motivated them to reach their goals.

We learn how to speak by listening to and imitating the people around us. Therefore, listening to a native speaker will definitely improve your English. Don't get me wrong, my students will definitely do more speaking than me, because they need to use the language in order to improve. All my lessons are presented in context, so students have constant interaction with and exposure to the target language in context. Depending on the outcome of the Needs Analysis of the students, lessons can easily be adapted to suit their needs. The lesson is then pitched at the right level, ensuring that the lesson is challenging enough so that students can benefit from.
