About Kelly

I am a UK-trained English educator with QTS and 20 years of teaching and educational leadership experience across the UK and Spain. I have a genuine passion for helping students develop confidence, curiosity and a lasting appreciation of English, while also supporting them to achieve the very highest academic outcomes. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and have extensive experience teaching English Language, Literature and Media across UK and international curricula, including AQA, Pearson and Cambridge, as well as English from B1 through to C2. My 2026 IGCSE results reflect my commitment to excellence, with all 23 students in my class achieving Grades 8 or 9. I was also honored to be Runner-Up in the 2025 Pearson International European Teacher of the Year Award and have worked as a GCSE examiner and moderator for 10 years, giving me a detailed understanding of assessment, examination requirements and what it takes to succeed. Throughout my career, I have held a range of teaching, leadership and specialist roles, including Head of Faculty, Assistant Principal, Lead Practitioner and Teaching & Learning Coordinator, alongside writing for teacher-focused publications. I believe the most effective teaching combines high expectations with encouragement, creativity and a strong understanding of each individual student. My aim is always to make learning both purposeful and enjoyable, while helping every student recognize and achieve their full potential.

As I was previously an examiner, I have an excellent understanding of what exam boards are wanting when addressing exam questions.
