About Alys
I’ve always been passionate about education and helping young people reach their potential. Over the past two years, I’ve worked as a teaching assistant in secondary schools, supporting students aged 11–16 across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on English. This role deepened my understanding of how different students learn and how to adapt support to meet individual needs. Alongside my work in schools, I volunteer weekly at a local dyslexia club, where I help children build confidence in reading and writing in a relaxed, supportive environment. These experiences have shown me how transformative patient, personalised teaching can be — and inspired me to offer tutoring that’s encouraging, effective, and genuinely student-led. I hold a BA in English from the University of Birmingham, and I’m currently studying for an LLM in Law and Legal Practice. My academic background helps me bring both subject expertise and strong communication skills to my teaching, and I love helping students feel more confident and capable in their learning.
