About Monique
I am a dedicated educator with a passion for helping young learners grow in confidence. With a background in primary teaching, learning support, and a degree in psychology, I’ve always been especially drawn to developmental psychology and the way that we humans learn best. Working 1:1 with students has been one of the greatest joys of my career—there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s/adult's progress unfold and watching their confidence shine. Outside the classroom, I’m inspired by the creativity of art and photography, which I bring into my teaching through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. These creative interests help me connect with students and make learning feel meaningful and enjoyable. Teaching, for me, is about nurturing growth, celebrating small wins, and supporting every child to discover what they’re capable of.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with 5 years of classroom experience, 2 years as a learning support assistant, and a degree in psychology. I offer personalised tutoring in all key learning areas from Kindergarten to Year 6, as well as support in psychological and study skills. I am available for online sessions via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or I can travel to students within 20km of Adamstown, Newcastle.
