About Iman
I am a qualified secondary English teacher and currently Second in Charge of English at a secondary school in London. I hold an MA in Education (Leadership & Management), a BA in English Language and Literature, and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
With classroom and leadership experience, I have a strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum and the skills students need to succeed in exams. I am passionate about helping students develop confidence in their reading, writing, and analytical skills while achieving their academic goals.
I take a supportive and structured approach to tutoring, adapting my teaching to suit each student’s strengths and areas for development. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of English.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. I focus on building confidence in reading, writing, and analysis while developing strong exam technique for GCSE English. Lessons may include practising exam questions, improving essay structure, analysing texts, and developing vocabulary and critical thinking skills. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.
