About Julia
I am a professionally trained Performing Arts teacher with industry experience, with a BA Hons, PCE and QTS. I have 15 years' experience teaching Performing Arts and LAMDA for 7 years. DBS checked.
I have taught many LAMDA examination boards, including Acting, Public Speaking, Verse&Prose, Devising, Musical Theatre and Shakespeare from Stage 1 - Grade 8. I have a 100% success rate, mostly receiving high Distinctions.
I am experienced in devising and delivering both curricular and extra-curricular lessons at Primary and Secondary levels within both state and private schools, including delivering to National Curriculum and GCSE specifications. I also have extensive experience in providing audition prep techniques for professional colleges.
I currently facilitate lessons in schools and private clients online and in students' houses, managing a team of teachers. This includes the prestigious St Pauls School and Juniors.

Drama and LAMDA is not simply about the final goal; it is about the journey of exploration, creativity, and growth that takes place along the way.
I value every student's individuality and strive to create opportunities that recognise and develop their unique strengths. By building on students' interests and abilities, I encourage them to take ownership of their learning and achieve their potential.
I am deeply passionate about Drama and believe that enthusiasm for the subject is infectious. My lessons are a safe, inclusive learning environment where students feel respected, supported, and confident to take creative risks without fear of judgement.
In my lessons, I aim to build confidence, develop strong Oracy and communication skills, and nurture analytical thinking. Students learn not only to perform, but also to reflect, evaluate and engage critically with ideas, preparing them with valuable skills that extend far beyond my lessons.
Lessons can be provided for all levels, ages and abilities, as well as SEND in Solo/Duo and Group environments.
LAMDA Grades 6, 7 and 8 are also worth UCAS points, so they could even help secure a place on higher education courses. As well as credits towards DofE.
