About Ciara
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching in both Ireland and the UK. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and History from the National University of Ireland Galway, followed by a Professional Master's in Education from Hibernia College, Dublin.
After moving to the UK in 2023, I completed the Assessment Only Route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through Kingston University London, gaining full teaching qualification in England. Since then, I have taught in Inner London primary schools, specialising in Reception and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
My particular areas of expertise are phonics, early literacy, reading and writing development. I have experience delivering phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. and supporting children with a wide range of learning needs and abilities. As a current classroom teacher, I have an excellent understanding of the primary curriculum and how to help children build confidence, make progress and develop a love of learning.
I am passionate about creating engaging, supportive and personalised learning experiences that enable every child to reach their full potential, whether they need additional support, confidence building or further challenge.

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Master's Degree in Primary Education from Hibernia College, Dublin. I currently teach in a primary school and have extensive experience working with children in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
My tutoring approach is child-centred, engaging and tailored to each pupil's individual needs. I begin by identifying strengths, areas for development and learning goals before planning lessons that build confidence and make learning enjoyable. I use a range of practical, interactive and visual teaching strategies to keep children motivated and engaged.
I specialise in phonics and early literacy, with experience delivering Read Write Inc. and Early Language Support (ELS) programmes. Lessons focus on developing reading fluency, phonics knowledge, comprehension, spelling, writing skills and overall confidence. For older primary pupils, I also provide support across the primary curriculum, including English and mathematics.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although shorter sessions can be arranged for younger children if appropriate. Each lesson includes clear learning objectives, opportunities for practice, regular feedback and activities designed to consolidate learning.
My lessons are suitable for children aged 4–11, including those who need extra support, wish to build confidence, or would benefit from additional challenge outside the classroom. My aim is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.
