About Kate
I grew up in multicultural environments that shaped my ability to connect with students and families from diverse backgrounds. I currently teach at an International School in Bangkok, Thailand. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I am committed to continually growing as an educator so I can provide the best possible learning experience for all students.
I have about two years of full-time teaching experience, alongside several years of tutoring, volunteering in school settings, and working as an assistant teacher. Throughout my Bachelor's degree, I've also completed teaching practicums where I gained valuable experience under the guidance of my mentors.
I consistently reflect on improvement in my practices and intend to pursue a Master's in Educational Psychology in the near future. I evaluate my teaching approaches and adapt my strategies to meet each student's learning needs.

I specialize in Early Years and Early Primary education, with a focus on mathematics, phonics, blending, reading, and reading comprehension. I believe learning should be engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to your child's individual needs.
At the start of our lessons, I assess your child's current understanding so I can personalize my teaching to suit their learning goals. Each lesson includes an introduction to the topic, guided practice, and independent practice to monitor progress and build confidence.
I believe in learning through mastery rather than rushing ahead. If your child needs extra support with a concept, we'll revisit it in different ways until they feel confident before moving on. My goal is to create a supportive environment where your child can develop strong foundations and enjoy learning.
Lessons will be done over Zoom.
