About Amber

I’m a TEFL-qualified teacher with a 168-hour TEFL certificate obtained from The TEFL Academy. I possess an advanced diploma in Journalism from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I recently completed a post-graduate certificate in intermediate phase education. I love working with people who are eager to learn, grow and are passionate about learning languages. I also enjoy walks on the beach, cooking and painting from time to time. Since graduating from university, I have worked in the media and education space. My most recent role was a teacher at a local primary school in Cape Town, teaching grades 4 and 5. I have worked with many learners and have developed so much in teaching languages and natural science. Being a teacher also helped me improve my communication skills as well as lesson planning and organizational skills. I have a passion for writing, working with people, and self-development, which I believe can really help one grow as a teacher and writer.

About the lesson

The English lessons that I develop will be aimed at your specific level, incorporating necessary skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and grammar. My lessons are aimed at kids and adults. You can expect to be fully engaged and active in the lesson. I'll help you gain confidence in every step of learning English. I have subject specialization in Conversational English, Business English, TEFL and Writing, Travel and much more.
