About Karla

I am a professional individual. I recently fulfilled my responsibility as a supply teacher for a remarkable
school in Dubai, for primary grades and subjects where needed. I started my B.Ed. studies part-time with Unisa, after I finished high school. Due to my working circumstances at the time, I was not able to get enough time off from work to complete my practical modules and complete my degree.
However, during my time in Dubai, I have had the opportunity to fulfill my degree expectations.
I am an independent, highly motivated young woman, willing to work hard and be an asset to the teaching community to the best of my abilities.
During my time in Dubai, I learned that no child is the same and as a teacher, it is my responsibility to recognize a child's specific needs and skills.
I have a passion for life science, hence it being one of my major subjects. I also teach Eglish and have a TESOL certification from Alpha Academy,

About the lesson

My teaching method is to always first assess what my students already know before starting with any lesson. I also always try and incorporate new ideas in every lesson that I plan, to grab the students attention to think outside the box and develop their own skills, by guiding them in the correct direction.
As mentioned before, each student is unique, therefore it is vital to me to ensure that I cater to all the needs of each student individually.
