About Ruby

With more than 17 years as a drum tutor, I teach School, College, and working professionals who want to learn drumming in a simple and effective way. My teaching approach is clear, encouraging, and focused on helping students feel comfortable and confident while learning. In my classes, students learn stick technique, timing, rhythm patterns, coordination, and creative drumming. I use practical exercises, guided drills, and real music examples to make lessons engaging and meaningful.

I make sure every lesson supports steady growth. I also teach subjects like rhythm training, music foundations, ear development, and stage confidence. These help students understand how music works and how to perform better. My unique strength is my ability to create structured lessons that also leave space for creativity. I encourage students to explore their own ideas while building strong technique. My goal is to help every learner become confident, expressive, and skilled at drumming.

About the lesson

My drum teaching method is strongly shaped by Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. Communication helps me understand a student’s background, preferred music style, and learning goals. I explain lessons in simple steps and make sure students always know why we are practicing a certain exercise. This makes learning clear and less stressful.

Creativity brings excitement to every lesson. I use activities like rhythm experiments, beat-writing exercises, groove variations, and improvisation challenges. Students also play along with songs from different genres like pop, rock, jazz, and funk. This helps them feel real music and understand how drums support a song. Creative learning keeps students motivated and helps them grow as expressive musicians.

Flexibility keeps the lessons suitable for all learners. I change my teaching style depending on whether the student learns visually, by listening, or through hands-on practice. I adjust the difficulty based on their progress, ensuring they grow without feeling pressured. I also change exercises whenever needed to match their comfort and ability.

In addition to drums, I can teach essential rhythm skills and basic music theory. My aim is to create a friendly, flexible, and inspiring learning experience for every student.
