Rahul Khanna has been working in Asmita Theatre Group for the last 15 years under the guidance of veteran theatre director Shri Arvind Gaur. He has recently finished his first feature film directed by famous Bollywood director Mr Kabir Khan named 83’ starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Pankaj Tripathi. He is also working in another Bollywood film named ‘Atrangi Re’ directed by Anand L Rai, starring Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.
He has worked as a model and also won the title of Mr.Uttrakhand. He has represented Delhi in the under-19 and under-22 state cricket team. He also represented INDIA at the World Youth Forum held in Egypt. He has acted in more than 5000 productions including street and stage theatre productions.
Some of his prominent theatre productions are Court Martial, Ambedkar-Gandhi, Ek Mamooli Aadmi, Ye Aadmi Ye Chuhe, Gandhi (concealed information) Ramkali, Tara, Amritsar Aa Gaya, Unsuni, Jis Lahore Nahi Wekhya Vo Jamya Nahi, The Last Salute, Mote Ram ka Satyagrah, Pagdi Sambhal Jatta and many more. He has worked in many street play productions like Dastak, Mard, Vo Din, Blood Donation, Budhapa, Climate Change, Road Safety, Mental Health, Corruption, Garbage and many more.
He founded ‘Rahul Khanna’s Education through Theatre’ in 2010 with the sole aim to work with children and help them to overcome their hesitation, shyness, their fears and enhance their overall personalities with the power of ‘Education through Theatre’, which is his hard core passion!
In the journey of the last ten years he has trained more than 10 thousand children and worked with some of the most prestigious schools, colleges and other educational institutions all over India.
Some of the clients are Mayo College (Ajmer), Mayoor School (Ajmer), DPS Sonepat, DPS RK Puram, DPS Rohini, Ahlcon International School, Kulachi Hansraj Model School (Ashok Vihar), DL DAV Model School (Pitampura), DL DAV Model School Shalimar Bagh, DAV School (Pushpanjali Enclave), SL SURI DAV Janakpuri, Bhatnagar International Vasant Kunj, Rukmini Devi Public School (Pitampura), PP International School (Pitampura), St Mary’s School (Safdarjung Enclave), St Angel's School (Rohini), Kothari International School (Noida), Delhi International School (Dwarka), JDMC Delhi University, GD Goenka University, Birla Institute OF Management and Technology (Greater Noida), Hindu College Delhi University, RDIAS (Pitampura).
He has directed Founders Day, Annual Days, Children Theatre Festivals, National School Theatre Competitions and International Theatre Festivals as well. He has also judged many reputed cultural festivals for educational institutes all over India. Some of them are St. Stephen's College, SRCC, Shivaji College, Daulat Ram College, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IP University, Delhi Technical Institute, LSR, Khalsa College, Miranda House etc.
Rahul Khanna’s Education through Theatre’s main focus is on Life Skills and Value Based teaching via medium of acting. Our core concern is to work on the holistic development of children so that they can become responsible citizens of integrity, and are confident enough to lead life with a positive and humble attitude!
We form theatre societies, clubs and provide theatre faculties for a strong working module in an organisation. Catering to the need of the hour, we have started with a special theatre program called ‘Digital Theatre Program’ in which children are participating in summer camps, short workshops, everyday performing tasks via videos and online digital classes. The programs are available for schools, colleges, educators, corporate employees, home-makers and theatre enthusiasts. The special attraction for the same is ‘Digital Theatre Productions’ in which children get a chance to perform a complete play with their respective team and have the premier for the same on YouTube, Facebook and their official school/college/organisation page/Rahul Khanna’s Education through Theatre’s page .
Learning under the guidance of Mr Khanna, children are now getting regular chances to perform not only in some of the prestigious auditoriums, but also In some of the biggest TV commercials, feature films, web series and television programs.
Mr Rahul Khanna has recently launched annual and six months theatre programs for all age groups. He strongly believes that theatre is a really strong medium to completely shape the personality of any individual!
