About Sarah

I have been dancing since the age of 3 and continue to take weekly classes, for enjoyment of course, but also to gather fresh ideas for my students.

My teaching qualifications are with the RAD and Laban and I have taught in a wide variety of educational and community settings from vocational dance schools to care homes and hospitals.

Recently I have been exploring the relationship between dance and maintaining good mental health and have taught for the mental health charity Mind's Recovery College.

Learning as an adult can be daunting but I will take very good care of you and ensure you get everything you are looking for in your class.

Meeting new dancers and helping them to achieve their goals is what I love to do and I very much look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

My passion is for sharing my life-long love of ballet with anyone who has the desire to learn. I therefore strive to be a clear, kind, and positive teacher.

We will move at your own pace and I will plan each session according to your needs.

Beginners will learn the fundamentals of ballet technique beginning with a warm up, barre and then moving into the centre.

All students will receive expert guidance to aid their progress in an interactive session where I encourage lots of questions.

For more advanced students this is an opportunity to refine your skills and break bad habits!

There is also the opportunity to learn repertoire from the ballets and to choreograph.

I look forward to joining you on your ballet adventure.

She has made it possible for me to continue on Zoom although she now teaches in a studio.
Everyone is sent a copy of all the term’s work via WhatsApp, so they can practise in their own time too.
