About Tanya
I am a certified teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching in Ontario. My qualifications are for Kindergarten to grade 6. I am currently teaching grade one and have taught grade one and two for the past 15 years. I have been tutoring phonics after school for the past four years. I have had extra training in special education and The Science of Reading.

I am passionate about literacy. I have studied and had training in The Science of Reading and strongly believe that teaching students the rules of phonics and how to apply them, combined with steady practice, makes a huge difference in their ability to read and write. I combine my knowledge and passion for teaching literacy with patience, enthusiasm, and experience to teach children to read and write.
