I taught at the elementary level for ten years before becoming a university professor. I have knowledge of how various reading difficulties can affect academic performance and I am able to serve as a tutor as well as a consultant. I understand the education systems and can point you to helpful community resources.

I will start with any student's current needs and help you work toward your goals in a positive confidence-building environment. I find that it is most helpful to work with materials that are already assigned, but I also can provide supplemental materials as necessary. My goal is to listen to your needs and then design an individual approach that makes sense based on the time and effort you want to invest.

Details
I can offer remote tutoring while COVID-19 is a concern and can continue by computer or meet at the public library when restrictions are no longer needed. Because of remote access options, I can offer distance tutoring. Pricing for more or less than a one hour per-week session is negotiable. I offer options that respect the need for you to make individual decisions about time and financial investment. Payment through Venmo is preferable.
