About Al
I am a recent graduate from Western Washington University, and I recently moved near Portland, Oregon. Growing up in rural Alaska, I met people from all walks of life; I had teachers growing up who inspired me to read classic literature and assigned books from many perspectives, and write about them concisely and quickly.
During COVID-19, it was a struggle to stay connected to people; many of my peers logged off of Zoom class but I enjoyed my 7 person AP English class. During my time at Western, I was reminded of AP LANG during my upper level poetry, nonfiction, and screenwriting classes. I took regular classes with professors I wanted to emulate and peers that inspired me to not show up in my pajama pants and remember to stick a pencil in my bag.
I’m currently looking for work and willing to adjust my personal schedule depending on availability. I’m happy to get to know you and looking forward to answering questions, communicating timely, and being there for your educational concerns, challenges and triumphs.
