About Brooke
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, I fell in love with teaching alongside my love for the ocean, healthy eating, and good laughs!
As far as education goes, I am driven by a passion for educational excellence. My nurturing and enthusiastic nature supports a welcoming and safe learning environment for students of all ages. I feel confident in my ability to improve academic, social emotional, and character of the children I work with. With 5 years of relevant experience, I have learned that for academic achievement requires a nurturing environment, with educational strategies tailored to the individual needs' of the students. I am active, creative, empathetic, and eager to learn, teach, and grow!

I have a bachelor's of arts in liberal studies with an emphasis in education. I have extensive coursework in teaching literacy and early childhood education. I am a credentialed elementary school teacher qualified to teach K-8. My goal is to get to know you, your learning style, and then be bale to tailor lessons to your needs, strengths, and abilities. I typically follow a gradual release model to help conceptualize lessons. This begins with short instruction, followed by applicable real world example that we complete together, as well as some guided and individual practice. Alongside we do games and fun learning activities to bring the fun into learning! We end with the confidence to master the content on your own.
