About Chelsea
I am a registered teacher and professional librarian with many years of experience in child and adult literacy education. I have presented at large conferences for EduTech and the School Library Association of Victoria, and have published several articles concerning literacy, school libraries and digital literacy in schools.
I hold a Bachelor of Business, Graduate Diploma of Teaching (K-12), and have almost finished my Masters in Linguistics, majoring in TESOL.
As a current high school curriculum developer I am very familliar with the national and state standards. I can identify any skills and knoweldge gaps which are preventing your child from meeting the standards or obtaining the results they are capable of.
Importantly, I make learning fun, and will build your or your child's confidence and love of learning.

One teaching style does not suit everyone. If all you need is help with one essay, we will focus on (a) the requirements, and (b) how to get you the best mark possible in the shortest amount of time!
However, if you or your child requires ongoing help, I will:
- Do a brief skills and knowledge assessment
- Set some clear short-term and long-term goals, with your input
- Develop an individual learning plan (this will be complimentary and done outside of lesson time).
Teaching will be delivered in a style and format that is appropriate for the student's individual learning needs, interests and abilities.
I am very experienced in the development of individual learning plans for students with learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, or difficulties derivining from ASD, attention deficit, or a physical disability.
Ultimately, my aim is to help students see what the point of their learning is (real-world applicability), to achieve their very best and to enjoy doing so. Literacy is, after all, an essential life skill!
Please note: if you hold a concession card, I am happy to dramatically reduce my rate. All children and parents deserve access to help that is affordable.
