About Agata
I grew up reading books nonstop. Fiction, non-fiction... you name it! I believe many overlook the importance of reading in a child's life, and how it impacts their adult life. My love for reading all my life has allowed me to excel at essay writing, expressing cohesive and concise thoughts on a given topic, thesis creation, resume and cover letter writing, writing professional documents and reports in the workplace, and the general collection and ordering of all my thoughts and ideas! Not to mention my grammar and punctuation have always been impeccable!
I was a restless child, and found it always very hard to sit and retain information in the classroom - that structure simply did not work for me, and I know it doesn't work for a lot of students out there. I found myself coming home from school and re-teaching myself the lessons of the day, because I just couldn't sit in one spot and listen without completely zoning out! That's why my lesson plans are structured to be casual, relaxed, flexible, and fun. No classroom energy here, because every child learns differently... and that's perfectly okay!

A combination of selected reading material, as well as reading materials the student enjoys are incorporated into the learning plan. A combination of silent reading and reading out loud together is included. Conversations on book content ensure students develops the appropriate retention and comprehension skills to excel.
And don't worry, even students who struggle to focus can improve on their reading skills! Stretching and exercise breaks between reading and writing passages allow for the most restless student to have an opportunity to re-focus and center themselves, so that they get the most out of every tutoring session.
Grammar activities that activate the creative side of students allows information to be retained and remembered. This includes fun quizzes and puzzle games - methods proven to improve retention rates of youth.
I strongly believe play and fun is a critical aspect to learning or improving on a skill that a student may be struggling with. I make sure to discuss with students what they consider to be "fun activities" and try my best to incorporate these activities into the lesson plans.
I work with all ages (Kindergarten to Gr.12) on improving reading comprehension and grammar skills.
My cover letter services are directed towards high school and university students. I assist with formatting and ordering your thoughts and ideas cohesively and concisely to reflect what you have to offer, as well as proof-reading and editing.
