Understanding learning styles and identifying barriers to learning have allowed me to differentiate instruction so as to make comprehension of complex concepts more accessible to struggling students or for students that just learn differently. Layering instruction, modeling, using probes or checks, allow me to gauge student learning as lessons progress, and tell me when it is time to stop and reteach for student success.
