About Steve

I taught for twenty years in Mesa but did spend a few years in Scottsdale and Tempe. I taught summer school in Scottsdale and my Economics class was actually on CNBC for a stock competition I created. I wrote for the Arizona Republic for eight years and taught History at Mesa Community College for thirteen. I enjoy collecting old soda stuff and one of these days I'm going to go metal detecting/bottle digging. I've been saying that for ten years or more but I never go. I'm a huge sports fan and my teams include the Diamondbacks, Vikings and ASU basketball and football.

Keeping the student active, while focusing on the objective(s) is critical
