About Mark

During my years as a professional educator, I've worked with students across the ability spectrum -- from those students who need lots of help to get up to grade level up to students looking to move to the top of the class and surpass their peers.

About the lesson

I use a standards-based curriculum that aligns with national standards. Each lesson begins with a warm-up that gets the math muscles going. Then, we discuss the lesson's learning objectives. Next, I'll demonstrate how to solve a problem based on that lesson's objective. Then, we'll do one or two together. After that, I'll watch you do a problem and afterwards we'll review together. Based on that, we'll move on to the next one or work on it a little more. At the end of the lesson, we'll have a couple of problems to see how well you mastered that lesson.
