About Mila
Hi, I’m Mila! I’m a RISD graduate, former Brown University student, published writer, and creative professional with previous experience teaching English as a second language.
My background in writing, storytelling, and communication has shaped the way I approach language, and I love helping others feel more confident expressing themselves in English. Having worked with students from different backgrounds, I understand that learning a language can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable practicing, asking questions, and making mistakes.
Whether you’re looking to improve your conversational English, strengthen your writing and reading comprehension, or simply become a more confident English speaker, I’d be happy to help you reach your goals!

My teaching style is patient, conversational, and tailored to each student's individual goals. I like to first understand where a student is currently at, where they want to improve, and how they learn best, then build our lessons around those needs.
A typical lesson might include conversation practice, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, or writing exercises depending on the student. I also like to use real-world topics and interests to make English feel practical and engaging rather than overly textbook-based.
What sets me apart is my background in both the arts and writing. I’m a RISD graduate, former Brown University student, published writer, and have previous experience teaching ESL. I understand communication from both a technical and creative perspective and love helping students become more confident in how they express themselves.
My lessons are great for beginner to intermediate English learners, students looking to strengthen their writing or reading comprehension, and anyone who wants to become more comfortable and confident speaking conversational English.
