About Sophia
I have always been more of a creative student. English and the arts came naturally, and I've found that even for a math oriented brain, English can become an equation. There are many ways to learn to love writing and reading, and I've embraced this by pursuing a career in writing for film. I actively write film and television scripts, as well as short stories, essays, and poetry.

I've always been a visual learner, that learns in less conventional ways. I believe in learning through conversation, and getting a one on one approach to one subject, through unbiased questioning, analogies, anecdotes, and drawing/videos. I believe in relating lessons to real life, so it's great to get to know the student and apply lessons to something grounded in their preexisting memory. This level of understanding between tutor and student also just helps to create a positive environment!
